Easy to Get... Long... Luscious... Lashes!!

The best kind of beauty secrets are the minor details that hardly anyone notices, but it’s the little things that make a big difference.  Sure, a good shade of lipstick or blush can do wonders for your look, but nothing puts the finishing touches on a face better than long, luscious lashes.
False lashes are great for night time or swanky events, but they’re not necessary for every day life (plus, they can get costly). Whether you’ve been born with the naturally great lash gene or you’ve been working on lengthening and volumizing your lashes for your entire life, you don’t need to resort to falsies to make your eyes pop.

Here are 5 Steps to follow that NaturalOrganicBody.com Experts say will get your eyes attention all day long.
Step 1: Choose the right kind of mascara. Depending on whether you’re going for lengthening, volume boosting, separating, waterproof, etc. you should choose the kind of lashes you want and get a mascara based on that. A favorite at the naturalorganicbody.com offices is 100% Pure Fruit Pigmented Mascara because it does pretty much everything in one. Also, don’t be afraid to apply more than one coat.
Step 2: Curl your lashes. A lot of women forgo this incredibly important step because they’re either afraid of the curler or they don’t believe it actually works. Curling your lashes before applying mascara is like moisturizing before putting on foundation – the end result looks much cleaner and more put together.
Step 3: Begin applying mascara with the wand at the root of your eyelash and wiggle the wand at the root before swiping upward. This separates the lashes and cuts down on any clumping that may happen by doing a thorough swipe through.
Step 4: During the application, hold either a plastic spoon, business card or mascara spoon against your eyelid, above the lashes, so that excess mascara gets on the spoon, not your lid. By having less to clean up afterwards, there’s less chance of displacing your carefully applied mascara.
Step 5: Use a good eye makeup remover. Even if your mascara isn’t waterproof, we’d suggest using a gentle organic remover.  The less pulling and scraping you have to do on your eyelashes, the better condition they’ll be in. We love this one from Lavera because it’s gentle and it isn’t greasy.

Never Too Late... Start Prepping Our Skin for Bikini Season

Just because we're still bundled under layers of sweaters, hiding our skin doesn’t mean we shouldn’t take care of it.  It's true, the cold air we've endured and are still getting hit with this spring has  wreaked havoc on our skin. Frankly, it has left our skin dry, dull and in some cases sensitive. It's no secret that this dry skin leads to flaky and itchy skin. And wearing those thick wool sweaters isn't helping one bit!
So, before we can even start frolicking in our bikinis under the summer sun and focus on every bump and flaw on our skin. NaturalOganicBody's experts have put together the tips for you to get the softest skin – ever!! So, when you do have to show your skin you’ll be silky soft to the touch. Daily lotions are great, but may not give you the luxurious butter feeling you crave. And body butters won’t do much if you haven’t exfoliated dead cells away.
Follow these tips for the softest skin, ever:
1. First things first: avoid ingrown hairs and red bumps by changing your razor frequently. A month-old razor will harbor bacteria and be more dull than a new one, causing irritation when you shave. You should change your razor after every few uses. Also think about dipping your blade into some alcohol if you feel you are going through too many razor blades in a month. This helps clean out the bacteria and dead skin left behind, that may be causing your irritation.
2. Get rid of dead skin cells by exfoliating. Use an exfoliating scrub like Lavera Organic Body Scrub Organic Orange and Sea Buckthorn, which deep cleans, prevents ingrown hairs, and tones for smooth skin.
3. Be aware, Exfoliating too much can lead to irritated skin so switch out with a moisturizing body wash like 100% Pure Hydrating Body Wash French Lavender, which cleanses, brightens and hydrates.
4. Lock in moisture with a body butter. As soon as you step out of the shower, massage an indulgent body butter like 100% Pure Whipped Body Butter Coconut  all over your skin. Cocoa butter is rich in fatty acids and antioxidants so it’ll keep your skin feeling super soft all day and all night.
5. If you still have dry areas like your hands or feet, apply a moisturizer and vaseline then cover with socks or gloves before going to bed. Rinse off in the morning and you should notice softer skin.
