We've all been told or have heard.... "protect your skin from the sun's damaging rays. It's for your own good...really!" You may have also heard, "If you don't, you're putting yourself at risk for skin cancer, which can be deadly." What's more, you're subjecting yourself to premature skin aging. Which means; wrinkles, sun spots, dry, dull skin.
Be that as it may, we've all walked out of the house with out applying any protection what so ever, before hitting the beach, or going to outdoor sporting events. Instead of beating yourself up now, tackle your sun damage issues in one of these many ways.
Let it be said again... prevent damage with a SPF sunscreen of at least 30, and one that's water-resistant and blocks both UVA and UVB rays. Apply it every day, no matter how cloudy, and never, ever neglect the skin on your face. Plus, if you opt for one of the following treatments, SPF is essential to maintain your results.
Lighter and brighter skin can be achieved without the use of potentially harmful lightening ingredients. Take the natural approach and consult with your beauty expert to find the best take home products that will lighten and brighten skin. There are several lines of skin care products that can significantly reduce hyper-pigmented areas. DNA Health Institute products use 100% natural plant phenols and phytonutrients whose main objective is to suppress melanin production. These MediClear Skin Lightening Serums and MediClear Skin Lightening Washes gradually and effectively lighten heavily pigmented areas in mature and photo damaged skin. Use them with MediClear Vitamin C Crystals. This powerful accelerator boosts results and contributes anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant benefits. When combined with one of the MediClear lines medical strength clarifiers or DNA's anti-aging treatments Medi-C will promote a polished, even skin tone, increase collagen production and, as reported by the FDA, help rebuild healthy skin tissue.
Ask your dermatologist about a prescription of hydroquinone, the go-to treatment for dark spots caused by the sun thanks to its ability to block the enzyme that activates melanin production. Use it with vitamin C and retinoids (your derm can direct you) for a well-rounded skin-care regime.
For particularly stubborn spots, consider chemical peels or non-ablative lasers that remove the top layer of skin and improve discoloration, fine lines and wrinkles.
And finally, very dark spots can be ablated with another intensity of lasers that break up discoloration deep in the skin. The treated spot will take a week or so to fully heal and you'll see final results in a few months.

The lines don't have to define you...
or the wrinkles age you!
or the wrinkles age you!
It's true with each passing year we get older and with that, age. But, in an effort to make the aging process a more attractive necessary evil... the experts at naturalorganicbody.com have found the answer that could change aging forever.
Through our research, we discovered that the real secret to cell revival and skin rejuvenation are two key ingredients:
These are both natural ingredients that work together to erase wrinkles and fine lines at the cellular level – below the surface of the skin – which is why they’re so effective.
Hyaluronic Acid works by binding to moisture. It can hold up to 1,000 times its weight in water, making it an excellent natural skin plumper. It also helps your skin repair and regenerate itself after suffering from dryness, environmental stresses, or irritation.
Vitamin C is the key to maintaining healthy, youthful skin. It’s a powerful antioxidant that slows the rate of free-radical damage, which causes skin’s dryness, fine lines, and wrinkles. It helps combat and even reverse time's effect on your skin, because it produces collagen – a protein which makes skin appear plump and firm. Applying Vitamin C to the skin topically is up to 20 times more effective than taking it orally.
What Vitamin C & Hyaluronic Acid do is get rid of all the old, dead layers of skin and help your skin generate fresh new ones. Tests show that you can erase almost 10 to 20 years off your face in less than 14 days. But the key is to choose the creams and serums that contain the highest and purest quality ingredients, since they’re not all the same.

Healthy.. Vibrant... Youthful Skin Care... At Any Age!!!
Our bathroom cabinets are overflowing with creams, cleansers, serums, and scrubs we paid too much for. That in the end didn't work for our skin... all in the fight against aging. And now.. heading into the winter months our skin will be needing even more protection from the changing weather. So what do we need to keep our skin looking youthful, vibrant and healthy at every age.
We thought it best to turn to the experts at naturalorganicbody.com... and hear's their list for teens all the way up to 40+.
Skin Care in Our Teens
Your teenage years are all about prevention and that means, wear sunscreen. The Experts agree, it's the best way to get ahead of the aging process. Skin tends to be its oiliest at this stage in life, so look for light formulas like gels and powders. Naturalorganicbody.com recommends Benecos Loose Mineral Powder to help absorb oil, applies easily and even offers light coverage.
It’s also important to develop good skincare habits: that means thorough cleansing and no sleeping in makeup (doctors orders!). Choose a deep cleanser that takes off every last trace of residue. We happen to love Aubrey Organics EveryDay Basic Cleansing Gel for Normal/Oily Skin. Refreshing daily cleanser clears away makeup, excess oils and impurities to leave skin soft, rebalanced and healthy looking.

Skin Care in Our 20's
In your 20s, keep up the cleansing and sun protection, and take the preventative measures a step further... if you haven’t already... start using an eye cream. Organic Purist Mushroom & Peptide Firming + Anti-Wrinkle Eye Cream is a firming treatment designed to combat early signs of aging.
The experts note, it's also a good time to add a little more moisture to your regimen because the skin is becoming less oily. Try a light serum like Revitalizing Therapy Serum w/Organic Rosa Mosqueta Rose Hip Seed Oil.

The experts at naturalorganicbody.com suggest DNA Medi Clear Vitamin C Crystals is a powerful accelerator boosts results and contributes anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant benefits. How to Correct Dark Circles... When Sleep & Makeup Don't Work
Even when the best concealer or the strategic use of highlighter can't hide those dark circles.... it might be time to rethink how you do things.
Nothing frustrates you more... and covering up the problem doesn’t exactly help to get rid of it (concealer is essentially sweeping dark circles under the rug).
But naturalorganicbody.com experts put together some tips to help you work on correcting dark circles.
We’ve pulled together some of the best tricks out there. Once you know what causes them, you’ll be better prepared for how to fix them.
1. Change your diet: If you’ve got excessive puffiness under your eyes, take a good look at what you’re putting into your body. Salty foods and alcohol cause extreme bloat, so when you cut these out, your skin will be able to rest easy without puffing up. Plus, getting rid of bloat will ease your entire body, not just your eyes.
2. Stop rubbing your eyes: Friction causes skin pigmentation to darken, so if you’re constantly rubbing your eyes, you’re not doing yourself any favors.
3. Sleep propped up: When you’re laying down flat, fluids can build up underneath your eyes. Prop yourself up with an extra pillow or two during the night so that the fluid drains down, taking the excess away from your eye area.
4. Sunscreen, sunscreen, sunscreen: If the skin underneath your eyes is dark all on its own, don’t take chances on it becoming darker with age. Every day (yes, sun, rain or snow), apply SPF 30 underneath your eyes but avoid actual contact with your eye. Kiss My Face Face Factor SPF30 for Face & Neck is rich in antioxidant Green Tea and Licorice extracts to help fight damaging free radicals. The sun can darken the pigmentation around your eye area, making the dark circles worse as you get older.
5. Use your ring finger: When you apply concealer or makeup (or makeup remover) with your fingers, use your ring fingers as they’re the weakest of the bunch. Like we mentioned above, less friction is better, so using your weak finger will be much more gentle on your eye area.
6. Cool tea bags: After you’ve finished brewing a cup of tea, put the left over tea bags into the refrigerator for 10 minutes or so to cool them off, then lay down and set the bags over your eyes. Not only will this relax you and force you to rest your eyes for about 15 minutes, but the cool tea bags will also relieve the skin around your eyes, reducing swelling and discoloration.
7. Get a retinoid cream: Retinoids are great for all over your skin, but especially around your eyes because they help to even out discoloration and boost collagen to reduce fine lines. After continued regular use, your skin will look brighter and smoother. 100% Pure Vitamin A Coenzyme Q10 Night Cream has highest concentration of Vitamin A (Retinal)
Stop making excuses for not taking your makeup off: Leaving your makeup on while you sleep will only irritate your eyes and cause fluids to rush to that area. Even if all you have on is mascara or concealer, clear your skin at night and use a retinoid cream afterwards. If you’re really lazy, keep a pack of makeup wipes at your nightstand so you won’t have any excuses.
Freeze a spoon for the morning: Dip two metal spoons in water and immediately place in your freezer at night. In the morning, take out the spoons and lay the rounded side against your eyes for about five or ten minutes before you get ready. The cold will help to reduce puffiness and relax the skin before you apply any makeup.

Hydroquinone Prescribed to Light Spots... Can Make Pigmentation Worse
When you are prescribed a cream, drops or pills to alleviate a problem, you don't expect it to cause you more problems. Hydroquinone is often prescribed to help lighten dark spots, but it can
be irritating, potentially worsening the pigmentation you are trying to
lighten. Besides that, it can only be used for three to five months at
most and the effects can plateau.
Here are some options the experts at NaturalOrganicBody.com have found that provide some alternatives if you want to get spot-free without prescription-strength products. This doesn't mean expensive chemical peel treatments... it's as easy as the over-the-counter concept.
These brighteners our NOB experts found can help to even out freckles and spots for more evenly toned skin.
